A rumored new area in 4.6 leaks may end up solving one of the game’s current problems, but still leaving a bit of it unresolved. At the moment, the RPG is in the second phase of Version 4.4. With the current update, the region of Chenyu Vale was introduced, establishing a direct connection between Liyue and Fontaine and bringing forth a long-mentioned subarea in the Nation of Contracts. The patch also introduced the playable version of Cloud Retainer, known as Xianyun, and Gaming, a new 4-star Pyro DPS. The massive update also added the annual Lantern Rite Festival.
With Version 4.4 nearing its end, the attention is diverting itself to the upcoming patch and its next contents. In fact, there have been many rumors regarding the next update, including Chiori’s leaked kit in 4.5. There have also been mentions of its events and rewards, but now leakers are allegedly obtaining information on the subsequent patch, Version 4.6. One of the most recent leaks is pointing toward what may be a completely new area in the game. It is rumored that the region will address one problem in the game’s design, but possibly leave it partially unresolved.
A new set of information obtained by the leaker known as Uncle K, which was shared by the user Maobury on Reddit, mentions that Version 4.6 will add a map location, as well as a new weekly boss challenge. The leak cites that the area will occupy a space where the nations of Liyue, Sumeru, and Fontaine converge, essentially filling the large hole left in the middle of Teyvat’s map at the moment. In essence, this new area should address the big hole issue in ’s map, but according to the leak, it will not fill the hole completely.
Instead of fixing the problem, the leak indicates that the hole’s size should only be decreased, but not entirely eliminated with the addition of more map areas to explore.
