Based on recent leaks, it seems Genshin Impact's 2.6 update will actually allow players to explore two different parts of the long-awaited Chasm locale. Following months of rumors and leaked details, developer HoYoverse (the team formerly known as miHoYo) told viewers during a Version 2.5 stream to expect Genshin Impact's Chasm location to finally become explorable in Update 2.6.
HoYoverse's tease from early February notably offered a closer look at concept art. Viewers were also treated to hints about a new area in The Chasm referred to as The Surface, which should play host to encounters with the Ruin Serpent creature. Little else is known about The Chasm at present, though a leaked map did make the rounds a couple of weeks ago, showing off a sneak peek at above ground points of interest such as teleport spots. With many expecting Genshin Impact Version 2.6 to arrive towards the end of March, even more rumors about upcoming content will likely begin surfacing in the days and weeks ahead.
