Gangs of Sherwood’s release date has been pushed back from November 2nd to November 30th, Nacon has announced today. The short delay is down to feedback following the game’s Steam Next Fest demo, which has shed some light on systems that need tweaking before Gangs of Sherwood is ready for a full release.
The statement reads, “Dear players. In light of the abundant feedback gathered from the Gangs of Sherwood demo period during October’s Steam Next Fest, our teams have decided to defer the game’s official release, originally scheduled for 2 November, until 30 November 2023.
This additional time will be used to fine-tune certain aspects and incorporate some improvements requested by the community, giving Robin and his merry men the chance to step up their preparations for their confrontation with the armies of the Sheriff of Nottingham! Gangs of Sherwood will be available from 30 November on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Please accept our thanks in advance for your understanding and patience.
In our preview for Gangs of Sherwood, Stefan wrote, “I was pleasantly surprised by my hands on time with Gangs of Sherwood. It might not win many awards for originality, but there’s a fun and engaging blend of gameplay that I’m looking forward to spending more time with, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the levels, the bosses and the tone of this retelling really lean into the steampunk excess it’s hinting at.”
Gangs of Sherwood will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
