New Sunderer Weapon Transmog Inspired By Silithus Sword Added to November Trading Post Bonus Reward
We've datamined two cosmetic swords with flavor text inspired by the sword in Silithus!
Edit: Many users have pointed out in our comments that these two swords were added to the Cosmic Weapons Cache monthly reward overnight on November 4th!
- Gorridar, Darkblade of the Sunderer, 1H Sword: Malice and hatred honed into a weapon designed to lay waste to entire worlds. Beware of any who envy such a blade.
- Seetheras, Broadsword of the Sunderer, 2H Sword: Forged from malignant chaos to strike at the target's heart. Those whose souls burn with all-consuming rage are drawn to its dark fire.
These swords are very similar in appearance, only differing in their size between the 1H and 2H models.
Earlier today at BlizzCon 2023, the elephant in the room was finally addressed after years of «what sword?» The The War Within expansion cinematic features the Sword of Sargeras, as the World Soul of Azeroth calls out for help for a coming threat below. The sword even has its own photo-op at BlizzCon, complete with «What Sword?» and «That Sword?» props.
A few days ago we saw the November Trading Post weapons contain interesting flavor text alluding to the Titans and Void, which are themes we'll explore in the Worldsoul Saga. Does the flavor text in these new swords hint at anything interesting to come--perhaps speculating on who would be drawn to such a blade in future expansions?
