ArcheAge and ArcheAge: Unchained will be merged into a single game experience on November 30th. Kakao Games has released all of the merge details, including how accounts, subscriptions, character names, housing, and everything else will be handled.
The merge is happening as a result of Kakao putting the question to the community over whether they would support a merged game between ArcheAge and ArcheAge: Unchained since the server population separately was not sustainable. They could sustain just one ArcheAge, if the community was on board. Now that the merge has a date, here are a whole bunch of details to be aware of if you have a character on either of those games.
When the merge is done, there will be one merged regional server per region, serving Europe and North America. Starting on November 28th, the auction house will have restrictions for the servers being merged, and merges will happen on November 30th. The first Land Rush will follow on December 2nd at different times per region.
Some of the details of the merge will probably frustrate some players. All character names will randomly be changed to prevent any possible overlap issues This means you'll have to rename all of your characters before you start playing again and hope that your chosen names are available. All of your characters will transfer over, even if you have more than seven.
There’s a whole lot of info to be aware of if you’re impacted by the merge, or expect to return to ArcheAge after the merge happens. Head to the ArcheAge merge hubto read the full details, including what will remain intact, what Kakao recommends you sell or use up before the changes, and more to know,
