Lena Headey, best known as Cersei Lannister on Game of Thrones, is being sued by her talent agency Troika for alleged unpaid commission fees, some of which relate to Thor: Love and Thunder.

Headey has had many large roles over the past two decades, including the Queen of Sparta in 300 (2006), “Ma-Ma” Madrigal in Dredd (2012), and Mary Sandin in The Purge (2013). However, she is undoubtedly best known for her role as Cersei Lannister in Game of Thrones(2011-2019).

Headey is now being sued for $1.5 million, which includes, according to Variety, unpaid commission fees, court orders, damages for breach of contract, interest accrued on the debts, and reimbursement for legal fees. Troika has three main demands in their lawsuit, the first of which is $500,000 over Headey's role in Thor: Love and Thunder, which is set to premiere in early July. However, Headey claims she was approached personally by Thor 4 director Taika Waititi and that Troika played no part in negotiating the role. Furthermore, Variety has confirmed that Headey does not even appear in the finished film.

Another $650,000 of the lawsuit involves the actress’ role in the Showtime series Rita. Again, Headey disputes that she owes Troika anything. The series was not picked up after the initial filming of the pilot episode, and Headey says she was only paid $325,000 for the pilot episode, and $22,750 of this was given to Troika as commission. Finally, Troika claims $300,000 is owed for the upcoming film 9 Bullets, in which Headey stars. But, again, the actress says that she negotiated the role herself and that Troika had no involvement, so no commission is owed.
