Two members of the Galaxy S24 lineup could sell in even higher volume than the Galaxy S23 series, according to one tipster, as he bases the latest rumor on Samsung’s recent activity of having ordered additional quantities of the Galaxy S24 Plus and its top-end Galaxy S24 Ultra. The Korean giant may also introduce a price cut to get more eyeballs on its products, and since it is announcing the three new models earlier, it might take away some market share from the iPhone 15 family.
The exact initial shipment estimate was not provided by Ice Universe, but he claims that Samsung has ordered the Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra in higher quantities, suggesting that the company anticipates higher demand for these two. As for the price reduction rumor, that is strange to hear from Ice Universe as an earlier report stated that Samsung would retain the same pricing structure for the Galaxy S24 series as it did for the Galaxy S23 due to the Exynos 2400 being introduced in various markets.
This strategy would allow Samsung to save up on component costs that would otherwise have accumulated in large sums thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is said to be more expensive than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Qualcomm’s previous-generation SoC that was estimated to cost $160 a pop.
