The Galaxy S23 is an impressive device on its own, packed with best-in-class hardware, a top-tier camera system, and an excellent software experience. But what if I tell you that your device, especially if you are in the U.S., has just become even faster? Well, at least in terms of the network speeds, and all thanks to T-Mobile and its latest update where the speeds of 5G have been increased, and your device is currently the only one that can benefit from these speeds.
T-Mobile has announced that faster 5G speeds are possible thanks to CA or Carrier Aggregation technology. On the standalone network, the carrier is now using four carrier aggregation to improve download speeds. At the same time, they are utilizing four sub-6GHz 5G bands, two channels in the 2.5GHz spectrum, one 1,900MHz channel, along with a 600MHz channel. All of this combined allows the network to reach download speeds of up to 3.3Gbps, and not just that, even the latency has lowered. The carrier conducted tests on the Galaxy S23, which has the Snapdragon X70 5G modem and achieved the downloading speeds.
It is also worth noting that T-Mobile has been working on carrier aggregation 5G for some time now. It started last year when the company managed to achieve 3Gbps in real-life download speeds. At the time of writing, Galaxy S23 users on T-Mobile can benefit from faster speeds. However, it is also worth noting that compared to mmWave 5G networks from the competition, T-Mobile's 5G speeds are much faster. Thankfully, you will not have to wait a long time for the speed upgrade to roll out, as the company has committed that the coverage will expand across the country in the coming weeks.
I am really glad T-Mobile is doing something for all Galaxy S23 users
