World of Warcraft’s latest big update to Dragonflight, Fury Incarnate, is now live, bringing new story, a split Heroic Dawn of the Infinite dungeon, new customization options, and Dreamsurges, the new world event type.
The update, 10.1.7, comes with new Dragonflight quests and the 10.2 campaign prologue. Only do you continue some ongoing stories, and maybe wrap up some loose threads, you'll also get to preview a taste of what is coming later in the year when update 10.2 drops. In addition, the Reforging Tyr questline continues, with new chapters.
Dawn of the Infinite debuted as an 8-boss Mythic+ mega-dungeon, but now you can take it on in Heroic difficulty (and Mythic) as two four-boss instances. Now you can queue for the two lore-rich dungeons and face off against all eight bosses in two different instances. Blizzard has alreadyshared details on all of the bosses you'll face, and they're there to both challenge you and to continue revealing more about the dragonflights and the Incarnates’ plans.
Even more customization options have dropped, including New Heritage armor and unlock questlines to get that new armor for Night Elves and Forsaken. There are some new Night Elf face and body tattoos and Forsaken also gets some new skin color options. Draenei players also get a special new unlock questline to claim the new Man’ari Eredar customizations.
Dreamsurges are one of the biggest changes in the update. One of the four original zones in the Dragon Isles will become attuned to the Dream. While this is in effect, Waking Dream Invasion events will start spawning. Defeat the enemies that pour through these portals to claim your rewards. These world events are for groups, but smaller portals will also spawn in some places
