10:10 Games has released a demo for Funko Fusion on Steam, ahead of the game’s release next month.
The free PC demo includes the first level of Funko Fusion’s world inspired by 1982 horror classic The Thing.
In addition to characters from the world of The Thing, players will be able to find other hidden playable characters including Capcom‘s Mega Man, whose inclusion in the game was announced today with the reveal trailer below.
Revealed last year, Funko Fusion is the debut title from UK-based 10:10 Games, which is led by CEO and creative director Jon Burton, who previously founded Lego developer Traveller’s Tales (now TT Games).
The company is home to a team of developers best known for their work on brick-based games, including studio co-founder and publishing boss Arthur Parsons, who was formerly head of design at TT Games.
“Funko Fusion is an action-adventure, single player and online co-op experience that pays tribute to NBCUniversal’s deep roster of beloved worlds and the irreverent Funko Pop! interpretations of the figures who inhabit them,” reads an official description.
“In the game, players will celebrate their favorite movies and TV series across a wide range of more than 20 franchises: from blockbuster movies like Jurassic World, Jaws, Back to the Future, The Thing, Shaun of the Dead, and Chucky, to hit TV series such as Battlestar Galactica, The Umbrella Academy, and Masters of the Universe, and many more.”
“Funko Fusion feels like a Lego game aimed at older audiences,” we wrote following a recent hands-on.
The game will be released on September 13 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, and on November 15 for PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
