A Freaks and Geeks reunion has finally happened, as part of the Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves' promotional campaign. In a newly-released clip, three of the show's actors have assembled to continue their characters' campaign 23 years later as if no time has passed at all.
In the video, Honor Among Thieves writer-director John Francis Delay--who played Sam in the cult TV series--is joined by his former castmates Martin Starr and Samm Levine, who played Bill Haverchuck and Neal, respectively. Freaks and Geeks executive producer Judd Apatow boosted the video on Twitter, saying, «I am so excited to see what John Daley did with the dungeons and dragons movie! It was destined!»

The final trailer for the movie was released last week. Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves spent almost a decade in pre-production as the film went through various phases in development since 2013. Directed and written by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, mostly known as the co-writers for Spider-Man: Homecoming, along with up-and-comer Michael Gilio, the script uses elements from the previous attempt by director Chris McKay and Gilio. The film stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, Regé-Jean Page, Hugh Grant, and Sophia Lillis. Each actor takes on a different class from the game.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves will be released on Friday, and Freaks and Geeks is currently available for streaming on Hulu. The video is a reminder of the show's enduring influence and the impact it had on popular culture, as well as a fun and nostalgic look back at the past for its many fans.
