An alleged leak suggests that Forza Horizon 5 will soon receive a Hot Wheels DLC expansion, letting players race model cars across an open-world map. Playground Games' newest racing experience, which launched in November 2021, takes players to a vast fictionalized version of Mexico. Last year a Forza Horizon collaboration with Hot Wheelsbrought a number of cars to life as scale models, and soon players might be able to take virtual models on the road.
Playground Games' Forza Horizon series specializes in transforming real-world locations into open-world environments that players can explore and race across. The series' latest installment, Forza Horizon 5, lets players tear across the cities, jungles and beaches of Mexico while engaging in a number of different race types. Players can extensively customize each available vehicle by installment body kits or swapping engines, and since launch Forza Horizon 5 has added even more cars to its roster through free updates. Earlier this year a Forza Horizon 5 DLC leak teased a number of new cars, and now it seems that players will be stepping into a Hot Wheels model instead.

Twitter user and notable leaker Wario64 has apparently revealed an upcomingHot Wheels DLC for Forza Horizon 5. While details are scarce, the open-world racing game's first expansion pack will allegedly add a number of miniature die-cast vehicles for players to drive. The DLC's teaser image also shows an iconic orange Hot Wheels track stretching across the Forza Horizon 5 map, suggesting some big changes to the game's otherwise realistic map of Mexico.
