The Resident Evil Village DLC has been announced at the Capcom Showcase event and it will be called Shadows of Rose, as it stars the teenage daughter of Ethan Winters, who must survive within the realm of Megamycete and must face the horrors that reside there. Shadows of Rose will be released as part of the Winters' Expansion, which will include a third-person mode for Ethan Winters in the main game, as well as new characters for Resident Evil Villages' Mercenaries mode.
Resident Evil Village was the final adventure of Ethan Winters, who was forced on a dangerous journey to save the life of his daughter. The ending of Resident Evil Village showed an older version of Rose, leading many fans to believe that she would be the protagonist of a future Resident Evil game. Rose mentions that she has powers and that Chris Redfield is part of her life. Rose's powers are likely connected to the mold-based abilities of other characters seen in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil Village, which could give her a range of abilities that have been used by the other Resident Evil protagonists.
