Fishing in a mining simulator? Yes, it's a thing now. Rumble Studios released the summer update in Roblox Mining Simulator 2 with a brand-new island. This summer island has a new mine, mini-games, and the best part, fishing! If you're tired of mining blocks, but you still want to spend time in the game, fishing is the perfect escape.

In one of the biggest updates released in Mining Simulator 2, the developers added a bunch of fishes and four different areas to fish in. You can get a variety of fish from every area ranging from common to extremely rare quality (around a 0.5 percent kind of rare).
One thing to note here is that you can't have access to fishing if you're just starting out in Mining Simulator 2. Since it's one of the new islands, you'll need to have access to space travel for teleporting to it. This can be unlocked after you mine a million blocks, as then the area right behind the spawn area on the surface gets unlocked.
Luckily, the developers made it so you don't have to upgrade the Spaceship to get to the island. As soon as you unlock this area, you can head over to space travel and teleport to Summer Fair island. Once you're here, you can fish to your heart's content.
The Summer Fair island is only available for a limited period of time in Mining Simulator 2. So, if you want to get the 'special reward' after getting all the new fish, it's time to get your fishing rods out and drop everything to go fishing.
