The latest issue of Poison Ivy reveals more about Pamela Isley's apocalyptic plans—and how her love for Harley humanizes the world around her.
As fans know, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy's romance has been growing steadily for years. Their friendship and partnership-in-crime was established back in the 1990s with Harley's origins in Batman: The Animated Series. In the more recent Fear State Batman event, Harley and Ivy's romantic love helps save the day: Harley reunites the different pieces of Poison Ivy and then reminds Pam of her humanity, which then spurs Ivy to calm the panicked city with her pheromones. The couple is now taking time to explore their own adventures; in Poison Ivy, Pam is taking a road-trip to help save the Green—the catch being that she's killing off humanity to do it.
