Warning! Potential spoilers for the third season of Harley Quinn: The Animated Series ahead!
At the worst possible moment, it seems like DC Comics has let the cat out of the bag for what viewers can expect in the third season of Harley Quinn: The Animated Series. Less than a week before the season premiere, a solicitation for an upcoming tie-in has seemingly given away crucial plot details.
Harley Quinn: The Animated Series is an adult cartoon revolving around the DC Comics' character of the same name. Modeled after the character's solo direction, the show revolves around Harley after dumping the Joker for good and venturing out to start a villainous career of her own. Poison Ivy joins Harley Quinn in her mission, as does a number of notable supervillains such as Dr. Psycho, King Shark and Clayface. The show debuted to critical and fan acclaim and with two seasons under its belt, viewers have eagerly anticipated the arrival of its third.

Unfortunately, it looks like DC Comics has accidentally spoiled some major plot details just six days before the third season was set to premiere on HBOMax. As part of DC's solicitations for October 2022, the publisher released details for Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: Legion of Bats! #1 from the team of Tee Franklin and Shae Beagle. Like how the Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour comic followed up on season 2’s cliffhanger, Legion of Bats picks up right after the events of season 3. Sadly, the news of a new tie-in comic was soured by the plot description of the first issue.
