HBO Max's animated Harley Quinn series has continued to wow audiences as it dares to ask uncompromising questions like «why can't homicidal villains just fall in love and have a nice romantic road trip?» Well, it looks like the show's upcoming 3rd season wants to keep that trend going. But don't worry, that doesn't mean its trademark humor is going anywhere.
The streaming service just released a new poster ahead of Harley Quinn's return later this month, and it sets the stage quite well for what's to come. After the previous season ended with Harley and Poison Ivy finally getting together in a characteristically over-the-top manner, many fans have spent the past couple of years begging to see where they go from there. But while viewers will have to wait just a bit longer to find out what happens next, the new poster should make plenty of people pretty optimistic.
The Harley Quinn Animated Series Is Brilliant, So Why Isn't It More Popular?
The poster is about as wholesome and happy as it could get considering it places several incredibly violent villains front and center. Kaley Cuoco's Harley Quinn is seen sharing a romantic swing in a lush forest with her newly-affirmed love Poison Ivy (Lake Bell), the latter of whom is sporting an extravagant flowery pink dress. Looking around the image reveals more fan-favorite characters like King Shark (voiced by comedian Ron Funches) dutifully pushing the lovebirds on their swing while Alan Tudyk's Clayface looks on with a typical over-the-top expression of joy.
Other characters on the poster include Jame Adomian’s Bane peeking out from behind a statue, confirming the return of one of the most hilarious characters in the show. Ivy's plant friend Frank (J.B. Smoove) is seen smoking
