The first trailer for Apple TV+'s For All Mankind season 3 shows the space race to get to Mars. For All Mankind is a science-fiction series that imagines an alternate timeline where the space race never slowed down, eschewing in a whole new set of possibilities for space exploration. The series was created by Battlestar Galactica's Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi and stars Joel Kinnaman, Shantel VanSanten, Jodi Balfour, Wrenn Schmidt, Sonya Walger, Krys Marshall, Cynthy Wu, Casey W. Johnson, and Coral Peña.
For All Mankind season 1 established a world where the Soviet Union was the first to land and walk on the moon, with the United States following behind them, eventually forming the Jamestown moon base, where much of the drama takes place well into season 2. For All Mankind season 2 debuted in 2021 and saw the continued expansion of Jamestown as NASA began working harder to go beyond the moon, with tensions between the Russians mounting more and more, to the point of a potential nuclear war. The show has thus far jumped ahead a decade between seasons, and For All Mankind season 3 will be no different.
