Capcom has revealed the last digital event for Monster Hunter Rise will be livestreamed next week on 7th June 2023. In it will be details on a «Bonus Update» for the PS5, PS4 title as well as a developer roundtable where the team reflects on the game as well as the Sunbreak expansion.
«Find out what's coming in the Bonus Update! Then, join the team for a developer roundtable, as they reflect on bringing Rise and Sunbreak to life,» the official Monster Hunter Twitter account writes. As Monster Hunter Rise on PS5, PS4 is now up to date and at the same version number as the Nintendo Switch and PC editions, this will be the last substantial update to hit Sony's systems also.
This move will free up developers working on Monster Hunter Rise post-launch support to move onto something new — perhaps a sequel to Monster Hunter World? It certainly seems like the next logical step, although there's been no word from Capcom about a follow-up just yet.
