Today, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis will be released on September 7th for Android and iOS devices. Pre-registration is already available for both platforms on the respective stores; in fact, on July 31st, the publisher revealed that more than one million users had already filed the pre-registration, unlocking rewards for the entire community.
In case it's the first time you hear about Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, this is a full retelling of the beloved FFVII saga, including spin-offs and even the movie Advent Children. The story will be told in an episodic fashion, with new chapters being added on a regular schedule.
Originally announced in February 2021 alongside the PlayStation 5 version of Final Fantasy VII Remake, Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis was supposed to be released last September but was later delayed. The additional time seems to have worked well for the game developed by Applibot. Today, Square Enix also released the Closed Beta Test report, showing that the satisfaction level of testers is very high.
