Development on 's PC release is progressing, so much so that its launch may be a lot closer than fans originally suspected. After the latest mainline entry in Square Enix's long-running franchise managed to divide the fanbase due to its PlayStation 5 exclusivity, those who lacked Sony's consoles have been forced to wait it out. Fortunately, Clive's adventure in Valisthea will soon be available on PC, presumably with a host of performance tweaks and graphical improvements.
Per Game Informer, producer Naoki Yoshida stated that the PC version of is in "," further confirming that the game will be in players' hands before the end of the year. Yoshida elaborates that the length of the remaining development time depends entirely on how long the team spends tweaking the game to determine the necessary system requirements needed to run the RPG. The producer concludes by noting that on PC will "" require some hefty hardware to run at maximum settings.
While Yoshida didn't go so far as to reveal the kind of PC hardware requirements players will need at this stage, the producer did announce that before launches for Steam and the Epic Games Store, Square Enix will put out a demo so fans can test their set-up. When this teaser will drop remains unknown but given that the time left before the port arrives is "" it's safe to assume it will be available within the next few months. In the meantime, players unwilling to wait any longer will just need to pick it up on PlayStation 5.
Fortunately for fans of, Square Enix has confirmed that the action-RPG is set to receive at least one more expansion in the form of , an add-on that will introduce a new location called Misidia as well as a new story. Fans were already treated to the Echoes of the Fallen expansion which included a new area, The Sagespire, alongside extra weapons for Clive and an epic final boss that some believe is the best in the whole game. Whether these expansions will come bundled with on PC is currently unknown.
