Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker concluded the saga of Hydaelyn and Zodiark begun nearly 10 years ago with an emotional conclusion. One Final Fantasy 14 fan organized over 1,000 players and musicians together to sing one of Endwalker’s most moving and inspirational songs in an ambitious and incredible collaboration.
Alex Moukala is a talented musician and music analyst who specializes in video game and anime soundtracks. Though he has made countless covers of music from video games, his most recent Final Fantasy 14 project is his most ambitious yet.
Final Fantasy 14 Opens and Almost Immediately Closes Data Central Travel
A few months back, Moukala called upon the Final Fantasy 14 community to send in recordings of them singing the chorus of “Close in the Distance,” the emotional ballad that plays in the final zone of Endwalker. With the help of several other musicians and Final Fantasy 14 fans, he brought the excerpts together in a truly one-of-a-kind rendition of the song.
If this feat was not impressive enough, Moukala was also able to get a dozen famous musicians and Final Fantasy 14 community members to sing major parts of the song. Amanda Achen (“Tomorrow & Tomorrow” from Shadowbringers and “Flow” from Endwalker), Susan Calloway (“Answers” from A Realm Reborn), Paolo Andrea Di Pietro (“Happy Turtle Jingle” from Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade), and Zepla (famous Final Fantasy 14 Twitch streamer) were just some of the incredible talents who helped make this incredible dream a reality.
