Multiple times throughout Final Fantasy 14's grand adventure, major characters will memorably inquire as to what's next on the Warrior of Light's agenda. In a fleeting moment of passing peace, the protagonist's loved ones are basically pressing the issue — you really need to take a break, get some fresh air, and enjoy life.

Generally speaking, one of two things happens next. Either the Warrior of Light is conveniently interrupted by some world-ending news just as they're about to reply, or their response is entirely muffled with the obvious implication that it's up to you, the player, to fill in what they're saying.
In either instance, the options are boundless. Get rich (or die trying) at the Gold Saucer? Perhaps. Go on a quest to collect ever Triple Triad card while finding every vista in Eorzea and beyond? Maybe. Hang out at with a bunch of half-dressed fellow adventurers inside large estates and drink alcoholic beverages while strobe lights flash to reveal your best friend from high school who keeps spamming the Manderville dance?
