A Final Fantasy 7 fan has made some impressive replicas of some of the game’s swords using foam. Originally released way back in 1997 on the first PlayStation, Final Fantasy 7 is undoubtedly one of the most popular entries in the long-running franchise, producing several spin offs and even an ongoing remake series. The iconic RPG marked its 25th anniversary just last month on January 31, 2022, with developer and publisher Square Enix announcing more Final Fantasy 7 projects in the works to celebrate the occasion.
Final Fantasy 7, which has basically become its own franchise, currently already has several projects in the works, including the upcoming Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis mobile game, which is another reimagining of the original game, as well as its spinoffs and other media. There's also the recently released mobile battle royale game Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier. However, the project that fans have been most eagerly waiting to hear about is the next entry in the aforementioned remake. While the first entry was released back in 2020, only an intermission entry was released last year. As for this year, it’s still unclear whether Square Enix plans to release any information or footage on Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 this year.

Reddit user Shred-the-Gnarnar shared their collection of self-made Final Fantasy 7 foam sword replicas on the gaming subreddit. According to them, they’ve made 11 of Cloud’s swords so far and have five left to make.
