Whether Boone's out in front dealing damage or Cass is chastizing players for the choice of drink, they bring a great deal of life to such a barren world.
Over on Nexus Mods, user Craftian shared their excellent «Party Banter» mod which does exactly what one might expect by making companions more sociable with one another. The mod features 200 lines that have been stitched together from existing dialogue to ensure that followers can idly chat while they follow The Courier to their next objective. The only pre-requisite for enjoying the mod is an additional add-on that allows for multiple companions to join the party given that the vanilla version of only allows one human follower at a time.

The question of ' best companion is one that's been debated by the community ever since the game launched over a decade ago and the answer is all about personal preference.
