Bethesda’s consistent support for Fallout 76 by way of updates, fixes, and content additions has been key in the game’s reversal of fortunes, and as you’d expect, 2024 will see the developer continuing to add to the online RPG. In a recently published blog post, Bethesda has offered details on what its 2024 roadmap for Fallout 76 will entail.
The highlight is probably going to be an expansion of the game’s map, which will add the wooded heartland of Shenandoah to the world, an uncharted, “once-tranquil” area to the south of the existing map. It will bring with it new questlines, factions, and rewards.
While the map expansion will roll out later in 2024, before that, Spring will bring the second instalment of Fallout 76’s Atlantic City Expedition. In addition to a new mission where players will confront the legendary Jersey Devil, the Expedition will also entail new areas, rewards, and story quests.
Beyond that, Bethesda says it will keep up its steady rollout of seasonal events, and that players can also expect “several additional features and improvements”.
Fallout 76 is available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, and on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 via backward compatibility. It has crossed 17 million lifetime players.
