Frontier Developments has announced F1 Manager 2023, the second entry in their budding motorsports management sim, which will be coming out across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One and PC this summer.
The game looks to come closer to representing the real world F1 championship in a number of ways, as you once again step into the shoes of a team principle and look to guide your team to glory. The game will feature the full 2023 season with 23 races and 6 sprint races included as a part of that. However, alongside that is the new Race Replay mode, which will feature key moments from this year’s races and let you try to rewrite events.
New for the career is the Sporting Director role, which will give you deeper management of the pit crew and the training schedule, so you can try to eke out every 10th of a second and avoid pit stop errors. There’s also car weight to consider, and the cost cap will affect your development options.
The racing simulation will now have shifting racing lines that evolve through a race, while drive confidence will allow them to pull off bold overtaking moves. Well, when they’re managing their tyre temperature just right, that is.
Looking back at F1 Manager 2022’s release, Tom said, “while it may not have captured all the exciting and dynamic elements of Formula 1, it’s an enjoyable experience in its own right.”
