First appearing in 1940, Robin's costume has been constantly updated ever since to keep it from getting dated as Batman has taken on one sidekick after another. However, an awesome new piece of fan art speculates about how each new holder of the mantle would feel if they'd been asked to wear Dick Grayson's original costume.
When Dick Grayson joined Batman's mission to keep Gotham safe, he donned his iconic red, yellow and green outfit that contrasted with the Dark Knight's more subdued colors. While Jason Todd took on virtually the same costume as his predecessor, every other Robin since has had their own take on the freewheeling outfit from Dick's day. The colors may have remained the same, but Dick Grayson's old-school green trunks are a remnant of a time gone by and have fallen out of favor with more modern clothing conventions.

Artist @Shmeckdoesstuff provides a hilarious look at what each Robin thinks of Dick's costume with her recent piece that features each canonical version of the hero trying on the outfit for themselves. On Twitter, the artist posted a message "They try out the og costume lolol" along with two pieces of art featuring Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Stephanie Brown, and Damian Wayne reacting to the original Robin suit. Dick proudly wears his costume, expressing a confident "Still got it," while Jason Todd looks on fuming to be copying Grayson once more. The less gregarious Tim covers himself, no doubt embarrassed by how much leg the older Robin costume shows.
