Open-world space looter-shooter EVERSPACE 2 will launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on August 15 for for $49.99 USD / £44.99 / €49.99 / 6,930 yen, developer ROCKFISH Games announced. It will also be available via Xbox Game Pass. PlayStation Store pre-orders are now available with a 20 percent-off discount for PlayStation Plus members. Maximum Games will release a physical edition on October 3, which includes a SteelBook, 64-page art book, and digital soundtrack.
EVERSPACE 2 first launched in Early Access for PC via Steam, GOG, and Microsoft Store January 18, 2021, followed by a full release on April 6, 2023. It is also available via PC Game Pass. It has since sold over 350,000 copies on Steam, and has been played by more than 120,000 users on PC Game Pass.
On PlayStation 5, EVERSPACE 2 will utilize the DualSense wireless controller’s haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and built-in speaker features.
“With space adventure games getting more attention than ever, we’re excited to bring EVERSPACE 2 to whole new audiences on Xbox and PlayStation this August,” said ROCKFISH Games CEO Michael Schade in a press release. “The two years we spent in Early Access when developing for our PC launch has served us well in the lead up to our release on consoles and we’ve used the last few months well, polishing an already rock-solid foundation. Series X and PlayStation 5 players can look forward to exploring the star systems of EVERSPACE 2 supporting 60 frames per second when we launch later this summer.”
