Warning: contains preview pages for Devil's Reign: Moon Knight #1!
Even as the vigilantes of the Marvel Universe band together during the perilous time of Devil's Reign, Moon Knight is revealing he's unwelcome in the company of actual superheroes. Thanks to Wilson Fisk's despotic new laws outlawing superheroes, several New York-based heroes have been thrown into the slammer. And while Marc Spector may be among them, he's well aware that's basically all they have in common.
Created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin, Moon Knight first appeared in Werewolf By Night #32. Gunned down and dying, mercenary Marc Spector was saved by the Egyptian moon god Khonshu in exchange for becoming his avatar. Now, Moon Knight protects the travelers of the night from harm by any means necessary. But his relationship with Khonshu and his own personal struggles have taken Spector to some dark places, and now the vigilante finds himself incarcerated at the worst possible time.

As the obscure villain 8-Ball sits down to eat, he's confronted by a fellow inmate marked with a crescent shape etched into his forehead. As the rogue mocks 8-Ball, Spector comes to his aid, revealing his identity which sends 8-Ball's tormentor running. 8-Ball appreciates the save, but inquires why Moon Knight isn't joining his fellow imprisoned heroes.
