Warning! Spoilers ahead for Batman/Catwoman #10
While the Joker is one of the darkest villains in the DC Universe, he himself is denying a crazy theory about the Clown Prince of Crime presented by Batman writer Tom King. Featured via a revelation made by Selina Kyle in the latest issue of King's Batman/Catwoman, the forever love interest of the Dark Knight comes to a shocking discovery that sets the Joker apart from herself and every other villain in Gotham City. While she and her fellow rogues have varying degrees of insanity and can't help what they do, that's not the case for Joker himself.
Batman/Catwoman from Tom King and Clay Mann is a 12 issue maxi-series that takes place in a timeline where King's run on DC's primary Batman continues non-canonically, allowing King to provide an «end» to his narrative. As such, Batman indeed marries Catwoman and they grow old together. While Bruce eventually dies from old age, he leaves his mantle to his and Selina's daughter Helena who becomes Batwoman. However, the series is still meant to mirror the same characters as they would presumedly act in the main DC continuity (according to King). This includes Joker, whose secret friendship and relationship with Selina has been greatly explored. This creates a very strange and intriguing triangle where the Clown Prince of Crime has threatened to tear Batman and Catwoman apart in the past and present eras of the Bat/Cat romance, though the series has also seen Joker murdered by Catwoman in the future following Bruce's death (as Batman had been the only one holding her back).
