Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is likely to transfer the 8.10% interest on your PF accumulations for fiscal year 2021-22 soon. EPFO announces the PF interest rate for the current fiscal every year and this year it has slashed the PF interest rate to 8.10%. Every year PF interest used to get credited to the subscribers’ account somewhere around Diwali or later, but this time it will get credited a bit earlier. As reported by Zee News, the PF interest will be credited by July 15. Once the interest amount is credited, PF account holders can check their account balance from the comfort of their home by using any of these methods.
PF account holders can check their balance via four different ways - SMS, online, call and UMANG App.
EPFO members, whose UANs are registered with EPFO, can check their provident fund balance by sending an SMS to 7738299899 with the text “EPFOHO UAN ENG". Those willing to get the details in Tamil, can write ‘TAM’, ‘BEN’ for Bengali, ‘HIN’ for Hindi and so on. Users can even give a missed call to 011-22901406 from their registered mobile number to get the details.
