Enshrouded, the most played demo in last month's Steam Next Fest, has a release date, as Keen Games dropped a new trailer this morning. The upcoming survival crafting ARPG will launch onSteam Early Access January 24th, 2024.
First revealed this past May, Enshrouded is an upcoming survival ARPG inspired by games such as Valheim, Minecraft and even The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Developed by Portal Knights studio Keen Games, players will work together to build, hunt creatures, and survive, though Enshrouded can also be played entirely solo, should you choose. Enshrouded will support up to 16 players in a co-op session as they venture into the Shroud to harvest materials, conquer dungeons and more.
While it's billed as a survival game, there aren't any of the real hardcore survival elements you might find in a game like ARK: Survival Evolved or Conan Exiles. You aren't going to die if you don't eat or drink; instead like Valheim before it, those activities will help make you more prepared for combat.
The newest trailer highlights many of the gameplay features players had the chance to try their hand at during the Steam Next Fest in October, which saw Enshrouded rise to the top as the most played and most wishlisted game during the online festival. Thankfully for those players, they won't need to wait long to get back into the world of Embervale as Enshrouded is set to launch into early access on January 24th, 2024.
