As incredible as Enshrouded’s building is, mining to get to building can take a lot of work. If you want to speed up the process of mining to get right into building your dream Hobbit hole in Enshrouded, here’s how.
Reddit user Captainquizzical posted a video featuring the caption, “Pickaxes are for losers.” The video shows them using a Construction Hammer to delete the mountainside and create a cave extremely quickly and efficiently. Check it out for yourself!

To accomplish this amazing mining hack in Enshrouded, all you need to do is craft a Construction Hammer for one Stone, equip the Construction Hammer, select the large square block shape in the Terrain row, and press remove where you want to delete material. Remember, you need to be on one of the shapes in the Terrain row or else it won’t work; Cube 2m gets rid of the most area.
It’s worth noting that this method doesn’t give you much resources. You should only use this method to quickly carve a path or area because you’ll only gain a few mined resources here and there with this method. If you want resources while you mine, you need to use a Pickaxe. This technique does give you resources when you use it on existing buildings to get back Wood, Stone, and Blocks.
Every builder in Enshrouded needs to know this trick because it makes mining so much easier. Don’t waste time terraforming if all you’re trying to accomplish is remove earth to start building. Instead, use this Construction Hammer hack to cut the time it would take to Pickaxe the area by at least 75%.
Again, pick up your Pickaxe when you need to farm resources like Flintstone. But, anytime that you’re clearing away earth to make space for a project, make sure to use the Construction Hammer instead of the Pickaxe. As Captainquizzical demonstrates, it makes your life much easier.
