The much anticipated open-world game from the creator of Dark Souls, Elden Ring, should take around 30 hours to complete its main campaign, says producer Yasuhiro Kitao. Saying that gamers are excited about the game might be an understatement, as Elden Ring has won Most Anticipated Game two years in a row at the annual Game Awards. While the game has gone gold, guaranteeing it is ready for release on February 25th, it has been a long road for fans excited for the dark fantasy adventure from the minds of Hidetaka Miyazaki and Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin.
After the cryptic announcement teaser for FromSoftware's new game at E3 2019, Elden Ring had gamers hungry for more information. The developer remained extremely tight-lipped on details surrounding the new game, which had fans fearing the game had been canceled until it was shown in action with the June 2021 gameplay trailer. News that the game's lore was crafted by epic fantasy novelist George R. R. Martin excited fans but also induced anxiety thanks to Martin's works infamous getting delayed. However, the Game of Thrones author has previously reassured fans that his work on Elden Ring has been complete for a while. Even better, new information assures Elden Ring players that finishing the game will not take as long as finishing Martin's other works.

Producer for Elden Ring Yasuhiro Kitao has revealed that, while it will significantly differ by the player, it should take around 30 hours to complete the game's main quest. In an interview for The Taipei Game Show on BANDAI NAMCO's YouTube channel, reported by IGN, Kitao reveals the game is the largest FromSoftware has developed to date.
