Like the Red Tearstone Ring of the Dark Souls series, the Red-Feathered Branchsword is a risk-reward Talisman in Elden Ring that boosts attack power by 20% when one's HP is below 20%. This Talisman can be practical during one's last stand against a tough boss, giving players enough damage output to land the final blow before the enemy can retaliate. Alternatively, glass cannon builds aiming to «live dangerously» can equip the Red-Feathered Branchsword as means to take down their Elden Ring foes even faster.
A great additional perk of the Red-Feathered Branchsword in Elden Ring is that the Talisman allows its buff to stack atop other attack power boosts. For instance, a spellcaster could simultaneously equip the Magic Scorpion Charm, Graven-Mass Talisman, and Graven-School Talisman for an additive 44% extra damage when slotted with the Red-Feathered Branchsword. This percentage can be further enhanced with buffing Sorceries, Incantations, armor, and armaments. Naturally, taking one or two heavy hits will likely result in the player's death, but they will probably be able to one or two-shot their foe before their demise occurs.
