FromSoftware has released a new patch for Elden Ring, providing balance changes and bug fixes for weapons and skills from Shadow of the Erdtree. First, it reduces the damage of Swift Slash, a skill on Backhand Blade for PvP. The damage animation of its vacuum effect has also been reduced.
Previously, the Golden Hippopotamus and Commander Gaius wouldn’t reset their positions when fighting against them. They should now be in the same position as the first time they’re fought, leaving you some breathing room when entering the boss arena. Unfortunately, those cheesing the final boss with Rolling Sparks should note that its bug has been fixed.
Furthermore, a bug causing the Lightning and Frenzyflame Perfume Bottles to deal double damage in “certain circumstances” has also been fixed. On the bright side, Black Knife Tiche’s HP reduction effect isn’t bugged, so enemies will no longer heal after the debuff wears off. Check out the full patch notes for more details.
