FromSoftware and Bandai Namco released Elden Ring’s highly anticipated large-scale expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, towards the end of last month, and unsurprisingly, its release saw sales for the base game itself being significantly boosted.
In the UK, for instance, as per data shared by the GSD (via GamesIndustry), Elden Ring jumped up from No. 23 in May’s sales charts for the region to No. 4 in the June charts, enjoying a massive 467 boost in sales. It was, however, placed No. 4 in the charts in spite of its significant jump in sales.
Sitting on top of the charts is EA Sports FC 24 once again, no doubt enjoying sustained strong sales thanks in part to the ongoing UEFA European Championship. It’s followed in second place by Grand Theft Auto 5, while F1 24, which launched towards the tail-end of May, comes in at No. 3.
Interestingly, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD has also managed to nab the No. 14 spot, in spite of releasing late in the month and not having its digital sales counted. You can check out the full top 10 for the month below.
