Of the many NPCs encountered in Elden Ring, Blaidd the Half-Wolf has to be among the most interesting. The shadowy protector of Ranni the Witch, Blaidd’s story is perhaps one of the game’s most tragic, and that’s saying quite a bit. Strangely enough, one of the most mysterious things about him is his height; he’s certainly huge, but, as one Redditor points out, he might not be quite as tall as he seems.
Though Blaidd can first be encountered in Limgrave’s Mistwood, players who missed the initial opportunity to speak with him can next encounter him, either when meeting Ranni in Liurnia or before going up against Starscourge Radahn in Caelid. However, when gearing up to charge into battle against Radahn, Reddit user u/icreievryteim noticed an odd discrepancy relating to Blaidd’s height. The character is probably something like twelve feet tall, and yet, the player, at roughly half his size, can don Blaidd’s armor without issue. This oddity, in the quick-witted mind of u/icreievryteim, made for an excellent meme format, but it might serve as a strange curiosity for others.

Of course, NPC and boss armor being scaled down to fit the player is nothing new in Elden Ring. In fact, it was a pretty commonplace occurrence in the Dark Souls series, as well. Hilariously enough, after defeating Starscourge Radahn, the player can equip his full regalia, and it’s tailored to fit perfectly when, in reality, the Tarnished could more easily use it as living quarters than as a suit of armor.
