Like in other FromSoftware titles, messages are a defining aspect of Elden Ring. Through these messages, gamers can help their fellow players or hinder their progress. Messages have been used to reveal hidden walls, warn of ambushes, and help solve puzzles, though they can just as often trick players into falling to their deaths. The signs have also been a way to spread memes, ranging from the “fort night” joke to Elden Ring’s popular Dog meme. While these are great uses of the feature, one gamer came upon another.

Upon starting their second journey through The Lands Between, Reddit user quiteagentleman came upon a message that they had to share with the Elden Ring community. Hilariously, the message read “here again…? Seek grass.” Clearly left by another player that was also starting their second run through the game, the judgmental sign is telling quiteagentleman to stop playing the game and get some fresh air. In the comments, many were quick to add to the joke and share other funny new game plus signs they have seen.
