There's already a wild amount of speculation going on for Elden Ring's upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, from fans thinking that it might go back in time to an older version of the Lands Between to Tarnished diving deep into the title looking for clues. One thing we're pretty sure about is that the DLC will involve Miquella somehow as the demigod was featured prominently in the one promo image FromSoftware provided.
Miquella is perhaps one of Elden Ring's most compelling figures despite being totally unseen. We know Miquella founded the Haligtree with their sister Malenia, and probably at least briefly moonlighted as Elden Ring's deity of sleep. Miquella is also at least described as a beatific figure that only wants to do good in the Lands Between, from healing their sister's rot to providing a sanctuary for those persecuted under the Golden Order.

Miquella is also an Empyrean who could replace Queen Marika as the ruler of The Lands Between. And as a potential successor, Miquella should have been provided a Shadow by the Two Fingers. Ranni has Blaidd, Marika has Maliketh, but Miquella's Shadow is never mentioned anywhere in Elden Ring.
As suggested by Twitter user @ZullieTheWitch, the word "Shadow" in Shadow of the Erdtree may be referring to the half-beast Shadows that guard the Empyreans. And since we've yet to see Miquella's Shadow, we might see them in the upcoming DLC.
However, we also might not. Zullie notes, "We don't really know what the rules for Shadows," and Marika and Ranni may have been assigned Shadows not just as bodyguards but also as jailers to keep them from acting against the Two Fingers. Zullie also notes
