Eastward is an intense action rpg about finding out the truth of the world while its main protagonist tries to protect the young girl he’s come to see as a daughter in many ways. It’s an emotional heart felt journey that’s well worth experiencing, but sometimes it’s nice to take a break from that turmoil. Wouldn’t it be nice to just sit back, relax, maybe do some fishing and farming? Well that’s exactly what the upcoming Octopia DLC is planning to do as it brings John and Sam together in an alternate world where the chaos hasn’t happened and instead their new life together begins on a cozy little farm! Here in Octopia the two will do such activities as planting and harvesting crops, fishing, hunting for materials and even getting to know the neighbors down the street. It’s a big shift in tone, but honestly quite the nice way to enjoy more time with these wonderful characters we’ve come to know and love. What’s even better is those who are just looking for a new cozy farming sim don’t have to have played the original, as this requires no prior knowledge of characters to hop in and begin enjoying the experience.
In addition to this DLC announcement we also got the reveal that the team behind Eastward is also launching an art book for a limited time! This includes two different versions with the default being just the soft back book for £39.99 with the other being a signed hard back with a lot of bonus goodies. Bonuses include pin set, poster, Earth Born zine, fridge magnet, recipes and even more! The special version comes at the cost of £119.99 but it seems well worth it for hardcore fans.
