The news of E3 2023's cancelation comes from , which verified through two sources that an email was dispensed to the trade show's prospective members, relaying that the event has been called off.
E3 2023 was on the cusp of cancelation after Ubisoft backed out on March 27, opting to host its own Ubisoft Forward Live event in June instead. Ubisoft's exit was quickly followed by SEGA and Tencent, all three joining Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft, who clarified they would not be attending E3 earlier this year.
