Despite some fan opinions of Tyra Banks, Carrie Anne Inaba said she'd love to have the Dancing With The Stars host back for the new season. Tyra joined the dance competition show in 2020 for season 29 as long-time host Tom Bergeron's replacement. The original host was let go after a dispute with producers over the casting of former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer. Tyra brought her big personality, which many have always admired, to the show. But unfortunately, she was met with some critiques. Fans were observant of how the host interacted with the contestants and felt that she was disrespectful a lot of the time.
On the show, Tyra was accused of talking over contestants and not giving them the opportunity to say goodbye when they were eliminated. In April, rumors started spreading that Tyra would not be invited back for DWTS season 31, which is the first season that will stream on Disney+ instead of ABC, where it's aired since its premiere in 2005. While this was great news for fans who disliked the former America's Next Top Model host on the show, not everyone wants to see Tyra go. DWTS season 30 contestant Cody Rigsby admitted he loved Tyra on the show, and he thinks if she wants to continue doing the show then it'd be great to have her back.

News, Carrie Ann said that all of the judges on the show are hoping Tyra will come back. "Of course, we want Tyra!" she revealed. "The thing about Dancing with the Stars is, once you're on our show, you're in the family. That's so precious. We truly are family.
