Dune Awakening is coming to PC early access in 2025.
The game will arrive on PC first, with the console release coming “at a later date,” according to Funcom.
A new gameplay trailer was shown off during Gamescom Opening Night Live which demonstrated some of the game’s survival gameplay, as well as how it ties to the overall lore of the Dune series.
Earlier this year, VGC got a chance to see Dune Awakening.
Our preview called it “Rust meets No Man’s Sky.”
“Dune: Awakening has a huge amount of potential, and feels like the perfect adaptation of Herbet and Villeneuve’s world. While the survival genre is well-worn at this point, there’s plenty of room for an extremely polished new competitor, especially if the intriguing late-game political thriller actually comes to pass.”
