Dragon's Dogma 2, like its predecessor, has no lock on. You have to manually crank the camera to land your hits, which for some, is a dealbreaker. Luckily, modders have been fast at work and made a downloadable add-on for PC players.
Simply titled "Lock-On Combat", alphaZomega's mod alters the camera so that if you press down on the right analogue stick, you'll keep your attention on whatever enemy you're facing. You can also double-tap the circle button to perform a Thief Dodge, and there are new settings to alter the camera's distance from your character as well as a slow-motion parry option for fighters.

To get the mod working, you need REFramework and _ScriptCore. alphaZomega suggests using Fluffy Mod Manager for the most intuitive setup process, and they've even included an installation guide on the mod page to guide you through each step.
Once the mod is installed, a new tab will be added to the REFramework menu called "Lock On Combat". From here, you can tweak all of the camera settings such as drift speed, distance, and field of view. alphaZomega warns players that you should disable "Camera Tracking" and Auto Adjust" in-game, however, to avoid jittering.
The mod also allows you to alter the hotkeys to your preference, so if tapping the right analogue stick or holding L1 for a temporary lock-on doesn't feel right, you can change it to something you're more comfortable with.
The mod was uploaded only yesterday but it already has over 20,000 views and nearly 3,000 unique downloads. It's safe to say that a lot of Dragon's Dogma fans were waiting for something like this to come along, and in fact, they have been since the first game.
Take a stroll down the past few years of its dedicated subreddit and you'll find countless posts from forlorn adventurers desperately trying to find a way to make the camera easier to use. Granted,
