The Shonen Jump manga, Doron Dororon, could be heading to a finale. With the reveal of the series' main villain and the origin of the Mononoke, things could be wrapping up soon. If it does, it will be a definite heartbreaker for fans of Dora and Kusanagi's friendship.
Doron Dororon began serializing in November 2021. It is published within Weekly Shōnen Jump and its translation can be read via Viz Media and Manga Plus. The series channels elements of the hit series Demon Slayer while focusing heavily on friendship and teamwork. Doron Dororon's hero, Dora, teams up with a kind Mononoke named Kusanagi to fight evil Mononoke. Mononoke are monsters who have been in the human world for a few years, eating and murdering humans. This has resulted in a fighting corps, referred to as samurai or the Izanagi Corps, working to eliminate the monstrous threats. Thus far, the series has published twenty-nine chapters, but it could be ending soon thanks to the latest story developments.

Written and illustrated by mangaka Gen Oosuka with lettering by Phil Christie and translation by Satsuki Yamashita, Chapter 27: Goki Tsukahara's conclusion reveals the reason Mononoke are in the world. During a meeting with the head of the Izanagi Corps and the groups' high-ranking warriors, the identity of this manga series' lead villain is revealed: Hanzo Miyamoto. Miyamoto was once a rival of the Izanagi Corps' leader. A jutsu he cast led to the Mononoke being summoned.
