Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Glitch Takes Sunshine Airport To New Heights

Like most of the other courses in the Mario Kart franchise, Sunshine Airport has dash panels that propel the player forward in a boost of speed, sometimes over a gap in the road. When this happens, the racer's glider activates and sails them through the air. Once reaching the end of the gap, the player lands and the glider disappears. This is not the case thanks to a new glitch found in the latest installment of Nintendo's beloved franchise.
Despite the impressive reputation of most of Nintendo's titles, some glitches will go unnoticed by any developers. In the case of the Mario Kart franchise, several glitches come to mind. For example, there is the rail-hopping shortcut in Mario Kart 64's Rainbow Road course and the frustrating glitch where a player is sent back to the starting line of a course in Mario Kart: Double Dash. One notable glitch in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the Ninja Hideaway one that traps players. Fans found that if a racer shoots off a certain ramp too soon, they will land atop a sign and potentially get soft-locked on it. When this happens, players are stuck and left with no other option than quitting the race. Thankfully, the newest glitch discovered by fans might help players rather than hinder them like the Ninja Hideaway glitch.
