Mario Kart Tour, Nintendo's mobile edition of Mario Kart, is getting a new course this coming week, with a twist; this course first appeared as part of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course expansion and will be released on mobile with some slight adjustments. The new course will also be accompanied by various new gliders, karts, and more. Several of the courses added to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe through this DLC originally appeared in Tour, but this is the first time the relationship has gone in the other direction.
Released in 2019, Mario Kart Tour has seen biweekly map packs, called tours, that have consisted of mobile versions of tracks that have appeared in other editions of Mario Kart as well as new tracks that feature cities from around the world. In addition to new tracks, additional cosmetic options are also added regularly, including new playable characters, though many of these characters are hidden behind the game's notorious microtransactions. For instance, Super Mario Kart added Super Mario 3D World's Meowser last December, further expanding the game's sizable roster.

As announced by the official Mario Kart Tour Twitter account (via Nintendo Life), the newest tour will be released on August 8th at 11 PDT. Sky-High Sundae, as the first brand new course in the DLC, marks the first time that a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe course introduced in the Booster Course Pass will also be added to its mobile counterpart, Mario Kart Tour. While it will be exciting to play the map on both platforms, the map will be missing one feature that is a large part of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's edition, which is the anti-gravity.
