Don't Worry Darling is Wilde's directorial follow up to 2019's beloved coming-of-age comedy Booksmart, starring Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein. For her second film in the director's chair, Wilde chose to go in a different direction, with Don't Worry Darling being a psychological thriller that boasts a unique look and setting. The film is written by siblings Carey and Shane Van Dyke, who previously penned The Silence and Chernobyl Diaries, as well as Katie Silberman, one of the writers of Booksmart.
Don't Worry Darling features a stellar cast led by Pugh and Styles, who also share the screen with Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, Nick Kroll, Timothy Simons, and Wilde. The plot follows Alice (Pugh), who lives in an experimental 1950s utopian society with her husband Jack (Styles).
